What can I say about such an absolutely charming classic movie from Disney than "Bambi"? It personally stands out to me as one of my all-time favorite movies. ^^ There are lots of things I could obviously give it praise for; the unforgettable characters, the timeless story, the heartwarming music, the beautiful colors and backgrounds, the incredible animation, etc. I of course liked it as a kid, but after having seen it recently as an adult, there seem to be even deeper meanings and thought-provoking things that really make me appreciate the movie even more. For example, the idea that the forest and musical background sort of become more like a character to compliment what Bambi does as he grows up and learns more about the everyday world. Also, the fact that it's mostly a "silent" movie in the sense that it has very minimal dialogue. And of course, the buildup to the tragic events that happen to Bambi's mother is really clever. Things like these are what really stand out to me the most. It's often said that this was Walt Disney's favorite movie, and I must say it's one of mine, too.

I couldn't have said it any better myself Thomas. Bambi is definitely a timeless classic. I don't care how old you are you will cry when Bambi's mom dies. They certainly don't make movies like this anymore that's for sure.

Even if you've seen it a million times, not much can prepare you for "your mother can't be with you anymore."
